May 2026 Minutes
OLD SOMERBY ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Monday 11 May 2026 7pm at Ropsley Village Hall
The Meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman Nigel Percy in the absence of The Chairman.
Also Present: Cllrs Vron Stephens and Peter Burrows, the Parish Clerk, David Holmes and 3 members of the public.
1. APOLOGIES: Cllr Vicky Lowndes had apologised as she was away. Cllr Betty was unwell. Accepted.
2. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: That had been held on 20 May 2025. These were read by the Clerk. There were no matters arising.
3. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: In the absence of the Chairman there was no report.
4. UPDATE OH THE ACQUISITION OF THE PIECE OF LAND NEAR MIDDLE PATH;
The Clerk reported the conclusion of this protracted issue was close. He had been informed by the SKDC that they were just awaiting a response from one of the parties’ solicitors. The Clerk to make further enquiries and request Cllr Sarah Trotter to also assist.
Mention was made of the various parishioners who help to keep the parish clean and tidy. Their efforts were very much appreciated.
There being no further business the meeting was declared closed at 19.10.
