OLD SOMERBY ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday 20 May 2025 at 7.15 pm in the Conservatory, Fox and Hounds, Old Somerby
During the meeting there will be a 15 minute Public Forum when members of the public may address the Parish Council on any matter connected with this Agenda or for inclusion on a future Agenda. Members of the public are welcome to stay after the conclusion of the Public Forum but will not be permitted to take any further part in the meeting unless first invited to do so by the Parish Council through the Chairman.
AGENDA
Parish Councillors: You are hereby summoned to attend the above meeting of the Parish Council.
1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN and signing of the Declaration of Acceptance of Office.
2. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN.
3. Suspension of the Meeting to allow for The Chairman’s Remarks and a 15 minute Public Forum.
4. APOLOGIES and consideration of any reasons given:
5. DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND DISPENSATIONS:
6. REVIEW OF OTHER APPOINTMENTS and existing Policies, procedures etc.
7. APPROVAL OF DRAFT MINUTES: To consider approval of Draft Minutes of Meeting 8 April 2025.
8. CLERK AND COUNCILLORS' ACTIONS AND UPDATES/LATEST: including:
a) 6 Bungalow Site; b) Hazard Signs on first bend into Old Somerby; c) Community Emergency Plan;
d) Traveller Site Cold Harbour; e) The Piece of Land in Middle Path area; f) Renewal of 30 mph signs.
9. LOCAL COUNCILLORS UPDATE: a) SKDC Cllr Sarah Trotter; b) LCC Cllr Charlotte Vernon;
11. FINANCE: To consider:-
a) The latest Finance Update Report;
b) To consider and complete the ANNUAL GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY RETURN
2024/2025- (AGAR): The Certificate of Exemption – to be signed by the Chairman ii) form 2
including the Internal Audit Report; The Annual Governance Report, The Accounting Statements .
c) Parish Clerk’s Expenses and Re-imbursements for year to 31 March 2025 - total £407.23;
12. PLANNING a) No 6 School Lane Demolition of existing timber lean-to; conversion of the existing
single storey side extension & rear single storey;
13. CORRESPONDENCE INCLUDING ITEMS FOR INFORMATION ONLY: 1. Town and County News re Free
events for parents to support children to stay safe on-line.
